I love purple lippies, I swear I do, but brown lippies have slowly taken over my makeup collection. It started off gradually – one trip to Ulta here, one trip to CVS there – and now I think I have a problem. Since I have all of these brown lippies I thought I would share my favorites. The shades vary from cool toned to warm toned and will look absolutely amazing on women of color!
Nightcap by Wet’n’Wild Cosmetics – limited edition 😦
There’s nothing like finding new makeup while browsing the makeup section! On one of my last trips to Target I decided to pick up E.L.F’s Illuminating Palette ($6) and Instant Brow Pencil ($2). I will admit I’ve been eyeing the brow pencil for a while and finally fell into the temptation.
Out of the two items purchased the illuminating palette is my favorite! The illuminating palette comes with four highlighters AND it’s only six dollars. Sounds like a deal, right? The illuminators are a bit subtle but can be used to their full potential if you spray your fan brush with Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer Water or a solution of your choice.
*deep sigh* Now let’s discuss this brow pencil.. Admittedly I have had better eyebrow pencils for only $1 by Wet’n’Wild and Nicka K. The best part about the eyebrow pencil is the spooly. Take that how you will but I would not recommend this!
In the pictures below I had applied both illuminators on the right side of the palette. The lipstick I’m wearing is Flat Out Fabulous by MAC (dupe)
Who doesn’t love to add a bit of pizzazz to something a little drab? Today I’ll be showing you how you can create your own puma inspired furry slides!
What you will need:
1 Pair of plain slides
A hot glue gun
2 hot glue sticks (or adhesive of your choice)
6ft Feather Boa (in any color)
1 Pair of scissors
The first thing that you will need to do is plug in your hot glue gun. The gun should have reached the needed temperature by the time you have taken the tags off of your shoes and unraveled the boa. Due to the boa being 6ft you can cut the boa in half to use 3ft of ‘fur’ on each slide. Please note that you may need a longer piece based on the size of the shoe. You will then glue the boa onto the shoe in any pattern to get your desired look. Voila! Your shoes will be ready for wear minutes after you finish gluing.
*Cut the boa on a solid surface or a piece of newspaper so you can easily clean up the fallout*
